On September 21st, the family and friends of Skylar Milagros Fonseca held the 11th annual Northeast Mustang Meet & Muscle Car Show in her memory.
This was the biggest turnout yet with 160 cars registered, dozens of prizes, a huge crowd in attendance, including the president of CDH International, and perfect weather for this year’s event on Staten Island, New York.
“I was invited to attend a few years ago and finally was able to make it this year. I am overwhelmed by the amount of love and support this community for Skylar and her family every year. So much work goes into putting together any charity fundraiser, and all of the Lorenzo family and friends step up to help. It’s no wonder why as it’s such a fun event for the whole family. CDH International is so grateful for all they do to help children like Skylar, and I was so honored to be a part of the car show this year and to finally meet the family in person, as well as Kala’s mom, Felecia, another grieving CDH parent who drove in for the event. Cars drove from as far as Pennsylvania, and my husband and I flew in from North Carolina to attend. This event really pulls people in, and those who attend return every year. That speaks volumes about the amount of time and love that goes into this event. I am so grateful and happy to have had the opportunity to witness it all this year.
