CDH Awareness Month Trivia – Day 18

Only a handful of countries have a standard of care for congenital diaphragmatic hernia, including Canada, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Belgium and Japan.

The United States does not, which is how many insurance companies can deny treatments and vaccines.

CDH International is working on a global standard of care to help increase the survival rate of CDH on a world-wide level while pushing insurance companies to cover neonatal and long-term medical care necessary for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia patients.
