On Thursday, November 1, 2018, US House of Representative members George Holding (R-NC), Liz Chaney (R-WY), and Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) held a political rally directly across the street from the world headquarters of CDHi in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The event was heavily attended by the media, local candidates on the upcoming ballot, and political activists.
During the event, CDHi’s Vice President, Kat Haney, had the opportunity to directly thank the members for their service and to discuss children’s health and disease funding roadblocks recently encountered by our organization at the National Institute of Health. Long-time CDHi ally, Rep. Holding, agreed to organize a congressional sign-on letter to NIH inquiring about the level of funding allocated for CDH research which will help remove those barriers.
