Featured CDH International’s Florida Ambassador is Allis Czerepka. Allis is the mother to CDH survivor Abraham.
Allis Czerepka is the mom to cherub Abraham who was born in November of 2015. They found out at his 20 week anatomy scan of his left sided CDH. His hernia was repaired when he was 3 days old at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando. He spent just 2.5 weeks in the hospital after surgery. However, his incision struggled to heal due to infection for the first year of his life, eventually developing a granuloma at one point. He ended up having to go back into surgery to remove the infected scar tissue which was causing it. By the time he turned one, everything was finally healed.
Allis was inspired by their journey so she attended sonography school after Abraham was born. She has been a sonographer now for almost 3 years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and exploring nature with her little guy.
