RESEARCH: Treprostinil Improves Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension Associated with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia

We conducted a retrospective cohort study of infants with CDH-associated pulmonary hypertension treated with treprostinil from January 2011 to September 2016. The use of neurally adjusted ventilator assist (NAVA) in congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) patients has been historically deemed unwise, since the trigger for breaths is the electromyographic activity of the diaphragmatic muscle.
