Every autumn and winter, we honor the memories of those children (and a few adults) lost to Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. This year, we decided to honor these patients beginning in September for NICU Awareness Month, through October for the 2026 Wave of Light and they will continue through 2026 National Children’s Memorial Day. After that Sunday, snowflakes will be added for CDH survivors as well. Loved ones can light additional candles for a $5.00 donation to help the cause.
On these two days, real candles will be lit at 7:00 pm in all time zones so that there will be constant light around the world in memory of our children in Heaven. Virtual candles will be lit on our site from October 1st to January 1st.

2026 Wave of Light – On October 15th, at 7:00 pm in each time zone, people will be lighting candles to remember all babies lost through neonatal death, stillbirth and miscarriage.
2026 National Children’s Memorial Day is Sunday, December 13th. At 7:00 pm in each time zone, people will be lighting candles to remember all children lost of all ages.
Survivors are listed on December 14th with all snowflakes.
Snowflakes and Candles are featured for each CDH patient until January 1st.
