CDH International would like to welcome Brook Newman to our Executive Board!
Ms Newman is a current Doctor of Nursing Practice (leadership) learner who bridged her BSN to MSN, and is completing her DNP accelerated track at Capella University; mentor and community facilitator at Sigma Theta Tau International; American Nurses Association\California Advocacy Volunteer; Association of California Nurse Leaders – Policy Committee member; ABAIM Advisory Board Member; Executive Director (Board Member) at CDH International; and has practiced in the nursing profession for the last fourteen years in various states. She is a new adjunct professor and thrilled to be mentoring other nursing in academia and applying her transformational/servant style of nursing leadership.
Brooke has developed many full life cycle process improvement projects that include but are not limited to: health policy/legislation participation, Global Health Security Agenda for inclusive populations, hospital throughput, organizational climate changes, employee engagement and retention, health systems interoperability, ADA accommodations for clinicians, and antibiotic stewardship in the intensive care units. The professional accomplishments include President’s List recognition throughout graduate school and board participation achieving a reduction in healthcare’s silo effects.
Her predominant leadership style correlates with transformational/servant leadership techniques and serves her accomplishments in nurse leadership and passions for leadership succession, workforce planning, and other strategic initiatives for inclusive communities. She continues to contribute to state, national, and international safe and quality patient policy initiatives according to the evidence-based practices. Brooke is committed to an inter-professional approach for her new position as an Executive Board Director at CDH International.
