Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Research Partnership With CDH International
Dear CDH survivors,
We are reaching out to you in order to help us improve care of women born with CDH who are considering becoming pregnant themselves. Indeed, many questions remain unanswered regarding the impact of having been treated for CDH on future pregnancies and deliveries. Women born with CDH may encounter several problems related to CDH during pregnancy or delivery of a baby. However, the lack of literature on that topic makes this very theoretical, but they could encounter gastro-esophageal reflux, breathing issues, CDH recurrence, back pain.
Although there has been progress in caring for babies and children with CDH, a lot has still to be done to improve care of CDH survivors that are reaching adulthood.
If you were born with CDH, and have been pregnant, you would greatly help us by filling out this short questionnaire and sharing your experience with us.
This would enable us to better counsel women who are considering getting pregnant, and avoid issues related to CDH during their pregnancy.
