Featured CDH International’s volunteer of the week is Awareness Team Member, Jonathan Brenner. Jonathan is our Awareness Team Leader’s husband and we are so blessed to have this amazing team on board.
Jonathan Brenner is Mary Kate Brenner’s husband and father to Chloe, Payton, and Hayden Brenner. He lives in Olathe, Kansas, and works from home as a software developer for Control Concepts, Inc. In his free time, if he is not taking care of the kids or the house (which isn’t often), he is usually programming, learning new skills in software development, or otherwise playing around with some sort of technology.
His connection to CDH is from Payton. They lost Payton to CDH on August 16, 2018 after nearly a month of fighting hard. During those weeks, Payton was on ECMO and underwent multiple surgeries while fighting. Mary Kate and Jonathan were there with her every day, giving her all the love and support they could. They have since vowed to honor her by doing all they can to help families going through the same battle and supporting research to improve the odds for children with CDH.
