In 1995, CDHi took a pioneering step by creating the first-ever parent guide for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). Since then, this invaluable resource has undergone multiple updates to ensure its relevance and accuracy in providing essential information to CDH families.
The latest edition of the guide, released in 2021, is a testament to the labor of love contributed by the CDHi Parent Advisory Board, alongside the expertise and insights of numerous CDH experts from our esteemed Medical Advisory Board. Moreover, the input from thousands of patient families who are members of the charity played a crucial role in shaping this comprehensive resource.
This unique project stands out as the first of its kind, drawing upon the vast knowledge and experiences of a wide array of stakeholders within the CDH community. The CDH Parent Reference Guide is now the go-to source of easy-to-understand information for families navigating a CDH diagnosis.
We are pleased to offer the English PDF version of the guide for free download to any patient family, hospital, or charity. We kindly request that credit be given to CDH International for its creation and dissemination. To further expand its accessibility, translations of the guide are currently in progress and are anticipated to be published by the end of the year.
We extend our profound gratitude to all those who contributed to making this valuable resource possible. Their collective efforts have empowered CDH families worldwide, providing them with much-needed guidance and support during their challenging journey with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia.
