2001 shook the world with the attacks on 9/11. It shook our charity too as our secretary, Judi Toth, was working in the Pentagon and many other families in the charity were affected as well.
Despite that September morning, 2001 propelled our volunteers to grow our charity worldwide, reaching 750 families in 27 countries. Our Australia volunteers grew our member list there to the point of needing their own web site. We also started creating more projects and services for our grieving families, with our first annual candle-lighting.
