April 2021 was one for the books. Another CDH Awareness Month in a global pandemic but once again, we pulled it off it off very successfully.
CDH Awareness Month Proclamations
We still have proclamations coming in so this video isn’t complete but wow! And so many cute photos of CDH patients and families with the proclamations that they helped us to gather that are posted on our blog and social media this year.
Virtual Ribbons
1000’s of patients are listed on www.cherubs.org with virtual Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Ribbons.
Make sure to check out the list and screen capture your patient’s ribbons before it’s taken down on May 7th. The list will return again next April.
2021 CDH Telethon
The CDH Concert was a wonderful celebration of a very successful 2021 Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Month!
We had 27 families and over 60 celebrities attend and raised $25,000!
2021 CDH Light Ups
Light ups on 3 continents this year! Over 100 famous buildings and landmarks lit up on April 19th for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness.
2021 Global CDH Conference
Our first virtual CDH Conference was a wonderful success. CDH Survivors met other survivors for the first time, families got to meet other families “face-to-face” and we learned about the latest Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia research with some incredible speakers.

Participants from 7 countries and 4 continents logged in and the event was so successful that we will repeat it every year virtually, even when we have our conferences in person again as well.
The patients and families were so happy to meet others like them that we are now scheduling weekly get-togethers through our Facebook Groups.
2021 Volunteers of the Year
4 volunteers at CDHi were awarded the Volunteer of the Year award! Congratulations to our 4 Volunteers of the Year – Mellissa Reaves, Jennifer Doolan, Nicolle Colvin and Heidi Marie Anderson!!!
