Taylor was born in a rural hospital with undiagnosed LCDH in 1991. She was transferred immediately to UNMC in Omaha. Taylor was given a 20% chance of survival, she was on ECMO for 5 days had her first repair while on ECMO. Growing up Taylor lived a normal childhood, she played softball from t-ball through her senior year of high school. She was a 20-year-old who just got accepted into Nursing school and met her husband when she heard the word reherniated for the 4th time, it was a major repair, but it didn’t stop her from graduating with her BSN on time, getting married and carrying two of her own children.
