Featured volunteer of the week is Kevin Dubray. Kevin is our International Canada Representative and dad to angel cherub Lucas.
My name is Kevin Dubray from Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. I am father of Lucas Emmet born March 5th, 2015 with severe RCDH. Lucas survived a short 24 hours before earning his wings. I also have 3 other children Kaylen, Jessalyn and Jaci, as well as rainbow baby, Jacob Emmet, born Oct 25th, 2016.
We knew nothing about CDH prior to Lucas’ diagnosis at 20 weeks of gestation, we found Cherubs after we started researching CDH and reached out to them. Cherubs was such an amazing support for us with people who have gone through what we were going through at the time. To be able to relate with someone is such an amazing tool in helping with coping with a stressful situation. Since then I knew I wanted to join the Cherubs team and pay it forward and try to help others going through what we did.
I am a contractor in the Thunder Bay area and in my spare time I enjoy snowmobiling in the winter and playing and coaching softball in the summer.
