Abstract

We examined post-natal echocardiograms for 62 congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) infants born from 2014 through 2020. Left and right ventricular dysfunction on D0 were sensitive while persistent dysfunction on D2 was specific for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) requirement. Biventricular dysfunction had the strongest association with ECMO. Serial echocardiography may inform prognosis in CDH.
