Research Study Invitation – Your Genetic Data Will Help Find The Cause of CDH

Hello Families of CDH International,

If we haven’t met yet, my name is Dr. Wendy Chung, and I am the principal investigator for Columbia University’s DHREAMS Study. The goal of our study is to develop a better understanding of the genetic causes of CDH. Our study is designed to identify alterations in genes that may contribute to CDH through genetic analysis of biological samples (blood or saliva samples) from children with CDH and their family members.

We hope that the information gained through our study and CDH International’s Patient Registry will lead to a better understanding of the causes of CDH which will in turn lead to significant advances in improving the diagnosis, prognosis, prevention, and treatment of CDH.

Would you like to get involved?

First, if you are a member of CDH International, write an email to research@cdhi.org with your name and email you signed up under.

If you aren’t a member yet, click this link to sign up today.

Second, contact our DHREAMS research coordinator, Becca Hernan by either calling (646) 317-6503 or emailing: careforkids@cumc.columbia.edu to find out more about participating in our DHREAMS genetic study.

Thank you for your willingness to help us in CDH research and hope to see you at a family conference soon.
