On Sunday, September 16th, CDH International Medical Advisory Board Member, Kristin Aigner, held a CDH family picnic for families in Peoria, IL. Food and drinks were provided as they celebrated our miracles, whether they are here with us, or watching over us from heaven.
13 families, 11 CDH kids from 11 months old to 20 yrs old were in attendance. Also in attendance was past CHERUBS CDH Scholarship winner, Natalie Holland, mom to angel Evie. Natalie is now an RN on the night shift at Children’s Hospital of Illinois. At the picnic they said goodbye to the beloved Dr. Macwan, the magician of ventilators and the Yoda of CDH. Families donated items for care packages for new families at Children’s Hospital of Illinois.
