CDHi Welcomes Shelly Moore to Our Patient Advocacy Board

CDH International welcomes Shelly Moore to our Patient Advocacy Board. Shelly is a CDH grandmother to CDH angel Jayden.

Shelly is mother to 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren, the second to youngest being her CDH angel grandson Jayden Gilbert who lost his battle to CDH and kidney failure due to pulmonary hypertension complications at 23 days old on March 14, 2010.

Shelly is currently serving as a CDHi Oregon State Ambassador, along with her daughter Alicia Gilbert, mother to Jayden. She also served 2 previous terms on the CHERUBS Parental Advisory Board and several years on various committees within CHERUBS/CDH International.

Shelly and Alicia came to CDHi (CHERUBS) in 2010 just before Jayden was born. Despite grieving the loss of their CDH angel they have been an active part of contests and awareness campaigns over the years and have extended support to fellow CDH families all over the globe. She was also co-organizer for three previous “Parade of Cherubs” events in Portland, Oregon.

Shelly has a background in computer technical support and customer service and worked primarily in the home computer user market after leaving almost a decade of employment in direct patient care in the health care industry. Currently she works phone support for an international medical equipment manufacturer.

She also served as a past President of the Oregon Chapter of The Marfan Foundation for 7 years and additional years as a telephone contact and most recently on the Social Media Awareness Team. She and her husband have been married for over 27 years and they are avid Oregon Ducks and Portland Trailblazers fans.
