Last year we had over 85 landmarks light up around the world on April 19th for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Day. This year, we are striving for over 100!

Other Info: Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) is a birth defect that occurs when a baby’s diaphragm fails to fully form, allowing abdominal organs to enter the chest cavity and preventing lung growth. CDH occurs in 1 in every 2500 babies, which equals to over 52,000 every year worldwide. The overall survival rate is 50% in Higher Income Countries – less than 1% in Lower Income Countries. The cause is unknown.
