Welcome to CDHi’s New Director of Development, Stephen Raburn

CDH International is growing rapidly in our quest to end Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and help affected families around the world. We have proudly added a new member to our team, Stephen Raburn, as our Director of Development. Stephen works out of our U.S. office and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with sponsors and donors, executing large fundraising efforts, and for expanding our funding for research, family support, and awareness for CDH.

Stephen is a social entrepreneur, father, activist, writer, lecturer, visionary, and champion of children’s causes who has spent most of his adulthood in the nonprofit sector, primarily in leadership roles. His training and background is in the field of child psychology.

Stephen is recognized as an impassioned child advocate. He has founded and directed a number of child-serving and community-based organizations, including the Center for Child Advocacy and Research, based in Napa, CA and a special needs adoption agency in Charlotte, NC. For the past several years, he has spent most of his time in the role of consultant for a variety of start-up and established humanitarian NPOs in the areas of fundraising, organizational development, board development, public relations, marketing, media, and capital campaigns. Stephen and his two amazing daughters (ages 16 and 12) and their menagerie of pets live in Durham, NC.

We look forward to working with Stephen during our fight to stop Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia.
