Last week, our President, Dawn Ireland, represented CDH at the 2018 Rare Disease Summer School at the University of Zurich. The first non-scientist to attend the school (and on scholarship), she not only sat in the classes and learned more about rare disease, genetic research, pharma, and biotech, but she also gave two research presentations and spoke to the class about her 25 years in patient advocacy.
Everyone at the school learned about Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, and more connections were made to help further our work in CDH research and advocacy.
It is a great honor for our charity to be a part of this incredible event and we very much appreciate the opportunity to work with some wonderful people.
